Gallery intervention in relation to solo exhibition ‘Alien Resident: San Diego Photographs 1986 – 1987, Contemporary Art Space Chester (CASC) Gallery, Chester by MA Dance student Eli Williams. ‘A research project that attempts to challenge the formatting of exhibitions and the behaviours within them. Addressing the opposition of ‘material art versus ephemeral dance’ by imposing the bodies as ‘moving sculptures’ in an exhibition space where an individualized, separated configuration has existed for many years, to hopefully create connections through a more immersive, phenomenological interaction with the gallery and the art within it’.
